Jennifer Evans is a Partner at Parlatore Law Group and focuses her practice on contract law, business law, corporate law, estate planning, real estate, and regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining Parlatore Law Group, Ms. Evans was a risk management specialist at Branch Banking and Trust Company (now Truist), where she provided risk consulting, advice, and guidance to designated business areas to mitigate risk to the 6th largest financial institution. She utilized regulatory guidance to monitor operational, liquidity, strategic, reputational and credit risk practices to integrate into Truist’s internal management program. These work experiences have left her well-equipped to skillfully assess and update relevant risk and control policies and procedures to ensure maximum effectiveness of internal business processes. While at Truist, Ms. Evans also obtained her Certified Quality Improvement Associate certification gaining valuable experience in process improvement.
Ms. Evans also worked at Horsley Law Firm and provided quality, ethical and compassionate legal service within real estate and estate planning. Further, Ms. Evans became a Notary public for the ability to travel to her clients that had decreased mobility.
Additionally, Ms. Evans interned with the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and is a published author of Research-Related Injury Compensation Policies of U.S. Research Institutions with Dr. David Resnik and others. She also studied veterans' law and obtained the Justice in the Practice of Law certification from North Carolina Central University; additionally.
Prior to law school, Ms. Evans enjoyed an accomplished hospitality career, eventually becoming the Assistant Manager of the Umstead Hotel in Spa; a 5 Diamond, 5 Star property located on 12 acres of beautiful lakefront property and home to a dedicated art gallery of fine works. Ms. Evans also served as the Director of Business Development and Community Relations for a start-up urgent care company and assisted in the growth and expansion to several clinics.
When not practicing law, Ms. Evans enjoys volunteering in her community and with her children’s extracurricular organizations, cooking and being a mom. She is a volunteer with the American Red Cross and is also a member of the PTA and a Cub Scout leader.
She also a figure skating instructor with USFSA, an actress, and a model with local representation. Ms. Evans has graced the cover of Pump Magazine, an international fashion and lifestyle magazine, as well as StyleCruz and the Evon Magazine Swimsuit issue. Her acting credits include movies, such as A Long Way Off, The Marriage Plot, Hielo, and Outside of Darkness, as well as TV and commercials. She lives in Raleigh, N.C. with her husband, Jarod their two young daughters—Isabella and Ava, and family dog.
Ms. Evans earned her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University, in which she completed the three (3) year program in only two (2) years.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Evans graduated Summa Cum laude from North Carolina State University with a degree in Sociology, where she was both on the Dean’s List and President’s List.
